Tinkahill is the working studio & gallery of husband and wife, John Garde and Su Berghuis-Garde. Centrally located in 12, Clark Street, Dunsborough, the venue is home to a constantly changing backdrop of visual art. The pair exhibit a range of complementary styles. Garde is well-known for his traditional portraits – his more recent subjects range from corporate portraits to a very amicable border collie. His faithful rendering of light and atmosphere is reminiscent of old masters.
Berghuis-Garde works in a variety of media. Her work extracts symbols imbued with meaning both personal and universal resulting in contemplative images on paper and canvas.
Both artists are available for workshops, classes and private commissions. Visitors are welcome any time. We are open 9.30am-5.00pm Thursday and Friday.-- Saturday 9.30am-2.00pm
If the OPEN SIGN is at the corner of Clark Street at any other time then we are in the studio and you are welcome to visit. Otherwise please ring and make an appointment.
